Parent Mentors are community-based volunteers who offer expertise and experience in various fields that may be of interest to parents and guardians. A parent mentor helps a parent succeed in the present before grooming him/her for the future.
Educare offers a number of supportive groups to help extend the reach of child development, outside our facility, into the community. Our Parent Ambassadors play an instrumental role in expanding the reach of the school into the community, growing enrollment, and raising awareness city-wide about the importance of early childhood education starting at birth. The Women of Worth (WOW) group aims to spark new bonds and tools for support not only within the group but also for individual participants. Fathers and Men Engaged (FAME) encourages all of the men who are directly involved in the Early Head Start/Head Start child’s life to participate in their educational progress.
